Botswana Culture & Wildlife Safari
Virtual Information Session on Zoom
Please join Dan Hopkins (owner of GrassTrack Safaris), Kiki Keating (safari host and owner of KikiNetwork), and Steve Stockhall (safari guide and owner of Earth Ark Travel) for a virtual information session about our upcoming Botswana Culture & Wildlife Safari. Join Steve and Kiki on this unique safari and experience Africa’s great wilderness areas and visit with one of the world’s oldest cultures - the San Bushmen of the Kalahari. The safari runs from Nov 8-18, 2021. During this free information session Dan, Kiki, and Steve will talk in detail about the itinerary, the camps & lodges, activities, and answer your questions about travel in Botswana.
On your Botswana safari, you'll visit a remote San Bushmen village and spend two nights interacting with the villagers, learning about their customs, daily lives, and the challenges of living in the harsh Kalahari Desert. You'll join them around their evening campfires and learn about the local environment on bush walks. You'll also witness Botswana's stunning wildlife in some of Africa's best game parks.
The safari begins in the Savute region of Chobe National Park, a region well-known for large bull elephants and excellent leopard sightings. You next move south to the Khwai River Concession on the border of Moremi Game Reserve. This eastern section of the Okavango Delta protects a wide variety of habitats that are home to a staggering range of birds, plants, and wildlife. The safari ends in the Kalahari Desert, an arid landscape completely in contrast to the parks further north. Here you'll experience the San and see wildlife that is not present in Khwai or Chobe, including oryx and springbok. Accommodation will be a mix of lodges and comfortable camping in private, unfenced campsites deep in the African bush.
