Botswana Walking & Camping Safari

Explore the Okavango on Foot & Camp with Elephants

To walk through the African bush absorbing every sound, following the spoor of the wildlife that has recently moved through and with every sense on high alert is an experience that will grab your attention.  Nothing compares to the feeling of exploring the diversity of life around us, than on foot.

The Okavango Delta is perfect for walking, consisting of a series of delta islands with open plains where game can easily be seen.  From ants to buffalo, a bird's nest to tracking wild dogs, you will learn from experienced walking guides the many facets of the bush.  No vehicles are involved, and this, along with our working in partnership with the local community, guarantees a genuinely environmentally-friendly safari.

Following your 3 night Okavango walking adventure, you'll embark on a traditional mobile camping safari for 6 nights, continuing your journey through the wilderness of Botswana.  Search for game from a specially designed safari vehicle and enjoy the remote bush in a comfortable mobile camp.  You'll explore the the vast Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park along with mokoro (dug out canoe) and a boat excursion on the Chobe River.

Your camp in the Okavango and in the Moremi/Chobe area will provide every comfort:  large walk-in tents, full bedding, en-suite toilet and shower and an attentive staff to see to your every need.  Delicious meals with wine and beer are included.

For a 10 day activity packed safari one gets to marvel at the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti and Chobe in comfort while taking part in walking, mokoro excursion, game drives and a boat cruise!

NOTE:  The Okavango Walking Safari is an extension to our Northbound Fully-Serviced mobile safari.  Your walking safari will occur before the start of the mobile safari.
