Botswana Photography & Wildlife Safari
Perfect Your Photography Skills while Camping in the African Bush
We’re excited to offer this extraordinary photography & wildlife safari into the wilderness of Botswana. This small country is one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations for wildlife, conservation, and culture. It has the highest concentration of elephants left in Africa, the largest African wild dog population and one of only 9 viable lion populations on the continent.
Our privately guided safari is dedicated to wildlife photography and designed for photographers looking to hone their skills in an amazing location. All levels are welcome - whether you are a keen beginner with your first DSLR or an experienced photographer looking to take your images to the next stage (see guide bio at end of itinerary). The unique aspect of having a professional photographer with many years of experience photographing Botswana, along with a guide who understands the importance of lighting and being in the right position is what sets this trip apart from many others.
All participants will enjoy window seats in the safari vechicle, but we will tend to switch regularly to allow everyone to take advantage of different perspectives. These safaris focus on teaching guests how to get the most out of their camera in order to get the right shot. Your guide will provide instruction and advice on composition and technique to help you improve your wildlife photography skills. You’ll come home with amazing images and stories of your African adventure!
This is a mobile camping safari through the remote African bush and you’ll experience Botswana's stunning wildlife in some of Africa's best game parks. You’ll explore the Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai River Concession along the eastern section of the Okavango Delta This region protects a wide variety of habitats - rivers, lagoons, floodplains, forests and grasslands - that are home to a staggering range of birds, plants, and wildlife. This is perhaps the best place to see Africa's most endangered predator, the African Wild Dog. The safari continues into Chobe National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and abundant lions. A boat cruise on the Chobe River is a highlight with shorebirds, hippos, and crocs. Your safari ends in Kasane, Botswana.
Accommodation will be comfortable camping in private, unfenced campsites deep in the bush. Tents are large and spacious with comfortable beds and an en-suite private toilet/shower. The camp staff takes care of all the chores so you can relax and enjoy an authentic bush experience.
