Botswana Odyssey

A 12 Day Luxury Experience

Botswana Odyssey

Experience stunning game parks and iconic wildlife in the lap of luxury on this 12 day journey as you explore Botswana's diverse and remote landscapes.  With a range of accommodation styles, you'll enjoy an intimate safari adventure on game drives, bush walks, morkoro (traditional dug-out canoes) trips, and cultural interactions.

Begin your odyssey at the Victoria Falls, where the earth splits open and swallows one of Africa’s greatest rivers, the mighty Zambezi, creating the largest sheet of falling water on earth.  Continue on to the wild Linyanti region, one of the most remote and exclusive pockets of Botswana.  This pristine wilderness is what great game viewing is all about!

Trek deeper into the bush to explore the Shinde Concession, one of the most diverse regions of the Okavango Delta.  Walk with wildlife or glide silently among the papyrus for a truly authentic safari experience.

End your journey where the Okavango waters finally meet the Kalahari sands, at the Makgadikgadi Pans.  Explore the vast grasslands with your Bushmen guides as you search for the great herds of zebras, on foot or on game drives.

Waterberry Lodge is situated in a lovely, secluded position on the banks of the spectacular Zambezi River with views to the Zambezi National Park on the opposite bank.   This small, friendly, informal lodge is famous for its staff, food, gardens and tranquil riverbank setting.  Within easy reach of Victoria Falls (35 min) but away from all the hustle and bustle of Livingstone.

Lebala Camp fronts onto the Linyanti Wetlands and the Kwando River.  Lebala means “wide open spaces” in the local Setswana dialect which aptly describes this incredible area.  The eight spacious tents are unique, each built on a raised teak deck and open with expansive views, laid out with maximum comfort and privacy in mind.  The tents have an entrance foyer with a reading and writing area, en-suite bathrooms with Victorian claw foot bathtubs, and flush toilets. The bathrooms lead out to a reed enclosed open-air shower with hot and cold running water on demand. The main lodge is under thatch featuring a bar, dining area and open lounge connected on wooden walkways to a plunge pool on raised decking and the boma area.

Footsteps Across the Delta is a rustic bush camp offering accommodation in three simply furnished meru style tents, each with an open-air bush shower and an adjoining bush toilet. The main dining area is under canvas with evenings spent relaxing around the campfire sharing stories of the day. There is a small viewing platform and for those needing a little pampering with a difference, a bush bath.

Meno a Kwena borders Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in close proximity to Nxai Pan National Park. Overlooking the Boteti River, this authentic safari camp is styled in the tradition of an East African tented camp.  The 10 tents are simple yet stylishly furnished with comfortable bedding, a fan as well as gauze sliding doors and windows. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with a shower, a flush toilet and a private sitting area with views over the Boteti River.  The main lodge has a dining area, bar and lounge with small library and features many interesting artefacts and photographs.  There is a small plunge pool, as well as a floating game viewing hide offering a close yet safe view across the river into the national park.
